Julie Marino is a playwright and producer living and working in New York City. In 2023, she was invited to be Artist in Residence with the Catskills Creative Residency at the Tusten Theater in Narrowsburg, NY. Julie’s play “Welcome to Paradise,” a National Playwrights Conference semi-finalist, received its World Premiere in 2019 at the Purple Rose Theatre Company in Chelsea, Michigan and continues to be performed at theaters in both the U.S. and Canada. Julie was a founding member of Theatre Now, an artists’ service organization that provides intensive, ongoing support and guidance for the creators of new musical theatre, and she is the producer of Sound Bites, an annual festival of 10-Minute Musicals now in its 12th year. Julie has also collaborated with the principal development team of transitstation, an international exhibition-as-live-art event featuring performance art, music, theatre, poetry, video, installation, fashion, lectures, workshops and interviews.
