Rachel Elmer

Rachel Elmer is an educator, songwriter, and performer based in Jersey City, NJ. As a singer, she has performed all over the country; as a writer, she has written music for stage as well as for recording artists across genres. Her song “Room of My Own” was an editor’s pick in the 2025 WNYC Public Song Project and her debut album, thirtysomething, is available on all major streaming platforms. She holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Yale University and a Masters of Information from Rutgers University, and devotes her non-creative time to teaching and coaching. QUARTER RICAN is her professional writing debut in musical theatre.
