Zanna, Don’t!

Welcome to Heartsville High, set in a world where everyone is gay—well, almost everyone! The big-man-on-campus is the chess champion, and the captain of the football team is made cool by being cast as the lead in the school musical. The students write a controversial show called Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell about straight people in the military, which becomes the catalyst for a young man and woman to fall in love. Enter Zanna, a magical, musical fairy who, with a wave of his wand, creates perfect matches and spreads love throughout the school.

This musical comedy isn’t just fun and quirky; it’s a timely exploration of love, identity, and societal norms. In a world where LGBTQ+ issues continue to be front and centre, ZANNA, DON’T! offers a refreshing, imaginative take on relationships and acceptance, making it not only an entertaining experience but also a piece that resonates with today’s audiences. With catchy tunes, witty dialogue, and an empowering message, ZANNA, DON’T! celebrates love in all its forms and invites everyone to embrace their true selves.

Striking 12

Inspired, in part, by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Match Girl, it tells the story of a grumpy, overworked New Yorker who resolves to spend New Year’s Eve alone in his apartment when an unexpected visitor brings some much-needed cheer. The evening springs to life through an eclectic score that combines pop, rock, jazz, showtunes, and more.

Cinderella

A new musical take on the traditional tale. Romantically challenged Prince Freddy, having just received his Doctor of Philosophy, has returned to his home kingdom and is being pressured by his all-business father, King Frederick, to choose a bride quickly at the upcoming royal ball. Domineering Brunhilda and her greedy daughters, Clarissa and Priscilla, are excited to go to the ball, but their smart and modern stepdaughter, Cinderella, would rather stay home and read with her animal friends Aristotle the Crow, Plato the Toad, and Socrates the Spider. Magical Gwendolyn the Well-Wisher appears and urges Cinderella to go to the ball. Stubborn Cinderella finally agrees to go… provided she doesn’t have to wear any stupid glass slippers.
