Grey House

When a couple crashes their car in the mountains, they seek shelter in an isolated cabin. Its inhabitants, though somewhat unusual, are eager to make their guests feel right at home. But as the blizzard outside rages on and one night turns into several, the couple becomes less and less sure of what’s true—about their hosts, themselves, and why that sound in the walls keeps getting louder.

Swept Away

In 1888, four men aboard a whaling ship—Mate, a haunted soul; a guilt-ridden Captain; Little Brother, an adventurous romantic; and his devout sibling, Big Brother—are shipwrecked off the coast of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Stranded on a lifeboat, they are forced to confront their pasts, moral choices, and the limits of human endurance as they fight for survival. Their story unfolds through the poetic book by John Logan and the hauntingly beautiful and raw music of The Avett Brothers, with a gripping narrative that explores themes of sacrifice, forgiveness, brotherhood, and redemption. Performed in one act, the show keeps audiences immersed and emotionally on edge throughout the harrowing journey.

Pass the Butler

PASS THE BUTLER is a British drawing room satire, wrapped in a slapstick murder mystery inside a soap opera parody. Sir Robert Charles is the UK’s Minister of Defense and next in line to be Prime Minister. Unfortunately, he’s all but dead, following a massive heart attack and surviving only on life-support machines. Lady Charles wants to put him out of his misery—not to mention save on the ghastly electric bill, which is already overdue. She plans a “switching off ceremony” only for Sir Charles to be murdered when someone else pulls the plug. Fortunately, a police inspector is already in the house pretending to be a journalist. It’s that sort of comedy!

Good Night, Oscar

It’s 1958, and Jack Paar hosts the hottest late-night talk-show on television. His favorite guest? Character actor, pianist and wild card Oscar Levant. Famous for his witty one-liners, Oscar has a favorite: “There’s a fine line between genius and insanity; I have erased this line.” Tonight, Oscar will prove just that when he appears live on national TV in an episode that Paar’s audience—and the rest of America—won’t soon forget. GOOD NIGHT, OSCAR explores the nexus of humor and heartbreak, the ever-dwindling distinction between exploitation and entertainment, and the high cost of baring one’s soul for public consumption.

Downstate

In downstate Illinois, four men convicted of sex crimes against minors share a group home where they live out their lives in the shadow of the crimes they committed. A man shows up to confront his childhood abuser—but does he want closure or retribution? This gripping and provocative new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Bruce Norris zeroes in on the limits of our compassion as it questions what happens when society deems anyone beyond forgiveness.

The Broken Machine

In this climate-chaos comic-tragedy, a burnt-out coder has become a hermit in the wilderness, nursing a broken arm and making lists from memory—of endangered species, moments of Lost Time, Incorrect States of Mind—in company with her only friend, a gray fox with a bad attitude. When wildfires approach, they flee through the wilderness to the sea, pursued by feckless would-be rescuers and threatened by a punk psychopomp.

Reverberation

After a personal tragedy, Jonathan has withdrawn from the world, with little social life beyond the men he meets online. When charming, flighty Claire moves into the apartment upstairs, she tries to coax him out of his shell. They forge a tenuous connection, but the past reverberates into the present, threatening what happiness they’ve found.
